As a stylist and makeup artists, Toi Alexzandria’s job revolves
around finding what makes a person who they are before using her
creative expertise to make sure the most important aspects of their
personality are reflected in their style. As such, she believes that one
of the best lessons in life that anybody can learn is the importance of
being true to yourself.
Personal Values
Everybody has values that they hold dear and it is important to understand what they are for you and how you can express them as part of who you are. By taking on the values held by others without establishing the ones that are important to you, all you will do is establish a personality that is not your own and has instead been crafted to fit into a life that doesn’t allow you to feel comfortable.
Finding Focus
If you understand who you are as a person, this allows you to place greater focus on achieving the things that bring you the greatest happiness. You will be more likely to understand your personal goals, in addition to having the confidence you need to chase those dreams, regardless of what other people think.
Developing Courage
Many people struggle to find their true identity, particularly in their younger years. It takes great courage to undergo a voyage of self-discovery, especially if it leads you away from the path that many people around you follow. Toi Alexzandria believes that you must stay true to your convictions so you can develop courage that will serve you well in many other areas in life.
